Hey you. Yeah, you. If you're reading this - go change your bedsheets & chuck your towels in the wash. It'll substantially improve your night's sleep / mood / status as a "well rounded adult". There aren't many better feelings than jumping into a set of clean sheets after a long day in the surf. We know it, you know it. Change your sheets. You'll thank me later.

Haven't bought a fresh set of sheets / towels in a while? We've got you covered. In our search for brands that align with our ecological values & high-quality production standards, we came across Loop Home.

Designed in Melbourne, farmed and woven in Turkey. Loop Home produce a collection of contemporary organic cotton bed and bath linen, creating accessible luxury in a considered way. Each product is crafted with the highest quality, long staple organic cotton sourced from the Aegean coastline of Turkey.

Launched in Melbourne back in April, founder Marcus Nelson utilised his background in analytics to create a fully transparent production ecosystem.

"The textiles industry is extremely dirty and commits to climate change in a big way. We disclose the water and carbon footprint of everything we make and think this should become commonplace in the fashion and textiles industry, much in the same way food is labelled with health details".

All of their fabrics are independently certified to the Global Organic Textiles Standard (“GOTS”), the leading international standard for organic farming and labour protection in the fashion and textile industry. By only partnering with GOTS certified suppliers, Loop Home can guarantee an ethical supply chain. This remains an area where too many companies continue to hide under the covers.

Circularity is at the core of what Marcus and the team does – from reversible designs that maximise each product’s value and time in use to you - to providing a closed loop recycling solution through Re-Loop. When Loop Home products are no longer of use to you, Re-Loop will provide credit for returned goods that can be upcycled into new products, closing one Loop while starting another.

On top of this, 1% of every sale is donated to environmental organisations doing important work to fight climate change.

All while being carbon neutral from day one – from farm to you. How good.

RELOOP

Re-Loop was created to provide a closed-loop recycling solution for all Loop Home goods. The recycling program offers customers 8% of their original purchase price back as credit to return their used goods. These textiles are then recycled mechanically, without the use of harsh chemicals, to create new products sold through Re-Loop.

Much like rubber, fabric recycling technology is evolving quickly, and we're stoked to see the effort Loop Home are making to grow with it. We've had an amazing uptake of our wetsuit recycling initiatives and expect the same for Marcus & the Loop Home crew.

Organic Cotton

Just like fresh produce, cotton is farmed in a variety of ways across the globe, with various levels of quality and ecological sustainability. 16.1% of the world's insecticides and 5.7% of total pesticides are used in conventional cotton production. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic fertilisers, insecticides, pesticides or genetically modified seeds, greatly reducing any negative ecological impact. In addition, by using rainfed water, organic farming can save up to 90% of the water used in cultivation compared to what’s required to farm conventional cotton.

The organic cotton used in Loop Home's products is entirely sourced from Turkey. Turkey grows some of the finest grade organic cotton at a global scale, and holds a meaningful history of quality craftsmanship in the textile industry.
