Great sun protection, Neck flap is perfect length
I'm a big fan of legionnaires hats. They'll never be *really* cool but if you commit to them they're not too bad! They're cool in a 90s primary school nostalgia kind of way. Anyway - this hat is great. Best feature is that the neck flap is long enough to actually cover your neck - over your wetsuit line, or rashy. Many legionnaires are made just too short for this. Strap feels secure, haven't lost it yet (but haven't had it in more than 3ft). Also the little tether is the perfect length to clip onto my wetty elastic loop (chest zip). The brim is floppy enough that you won't get whiplash if a wave hits it - but sturdy enough to not droop onto your face. I can't really think of a way this could be improved. So it's five stars from me.
